Description
A very special Fair Trade pendant created from a Cambodian recycled brass bullet shell casing left behind by the turmoil and atrocities of the brutal Khmer Rouge regime of the 1970s.
• Made from recycled spent ammunition. Light and comfortable to wear and offering your own little piece of Cambodian life!
• Comes complete with its own bright blue padded fabric necklace which is finished with brass fixtures to add detail to the design.
• Closes with a gold-coloured metal hook at the top, which is adjustable.
• The artisans have recycled a metal that was meant to cause “death” and transformed it into a metal for “life”.
Handmade by marginalised Fair Trade artisans at Craftworks Cambodia in and around Phnom Penh the capitol city.
Craftworks Cambodia work with disabled and impoverished artisans affected by war, poverty and HIV/AIDS.
With the sale of these products, artisans are able to put food on the table for their family.
